Akasha Lin Garnier
Then & Now
Akasha first started writing Gothic stories to entertain her Halloween guests in the Twin Cities. Her college radio station nominated her to be Production Director and “the voice of WMMR”. Her crush on Chicago began with her dance show featuring house music and her radio debut as "Lady Bass". Akasha and her DJ friends would drive to Chicago for music, concerts and clubbing. Fortunately the first promo proposal she ever wrote said ‘yes’, so she continued to round out her writing, PR and diplomatic skills in alternative radio, concert production and travel from sea to shining sea.
Akasha’s proud of her work as a writer, producer and actress; she balanced freelance work as writer and event manager in Minneapolis,
Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, London, Paris/Cannes, Maui and Hawaii’s Big Island. She enjoys giving back through her volunteer tutoring in composition and presentation skills to cultivate a love of the written word.
Some of this actually happened...
Through her writing and event career Akasha Garnier has been inspired by a boatload of interesting characters and A-list clients.
Akasha now blends her event background and bon voyages to create an amalgam of characters that will come to life in a travel thriller series (2.5 books written; many more stories to tell).
"I felt compelled to write a recommendation for Akasha because yet again, this woman consistently produces outstanding writing and productions...and delivers service beyond compare. You cannot go wrong if you contract with her. She's amazing!"
~ Shelley S.: William Morris Reader, Writer, Producer
